Just back from a debut at the World Taxidermy Show. Many top taxidermists and carvers got to see these eyes, with great comments.

I am truly excited about the line of eyes being perfected in the Black Forest of Germany. Mike "Buck" Rodgers has spent years  mastering his techniques with top highly-skilled German glass meisters. The results are breathtaking.  These glass eyes are thicker and more refractive than others you may see. They are a pleasure to paint either from scratch, or "pre-prepped" with pupil and mottling burned into the eye. Apply a transparent mist with your airbrush or hand brush, then add iridescents, metallics, or your own innovations to the eye, and you have a unique original FAST! I have taken these and painted a pair of eyes, far superior to what I can purchase elswhere, in under 5 minutes.

They will become available pre-painted and species specific. Hand painted originals will also be available by special order. Let us know your needs. You need to see these up-close-and personal to appreciate the DEPTH artistic impressionism inherent in these gems of the fish eye world.

Buck has worked tirelessly on a plastic version of eyes that are also thick and refractive. The shape, sclerotic capsule, and pupils are BUILT INTO these versions. Forget tedious rebuilding and setting with epoxy. The capsule is an integral, yet subtle transition in these eyes. Various pupil shapes will be available to accomodate various species. The refractive properties are absolutely wild! Whether you purchase blanks, pre-prepped, or finished, species-specific eyes, these will be some of the most economical eyes available and the end results will blow you away. Yes, they are FUN to experiment with, and will give you a new-found sense of pride in YOUR accomplishments as a taxidermy artist. Your fish will truly be unique, and genuinely yours.

PLASTIC EYE SIZING...... First number is outside diameter in mm. Second is the painted portion of the    eye in mm. Orbit size can be easily modified, as can size of painted area (iris) of each eye.

4.     18 x 14     scleral band with mottling on band and fully painted.

5.    20 x 15        white scleral band with inner mottling installed.

6.    23 x 16            white scleral band with inner mottling installed.

7.     25 x 18          inner eye mottling imprinted, sclera clear.

8.      27 x 20         inner eye mottling imprinted, sclera clear.
